Carefree Magazine is “a Black women's magazine dedicated to the wanderers, late bloomers, and dreamers.” They’re seeking feel-good personal essays from Black women writers about life, love, and adventure. Carefree is Accepting Pitches from Black Women Writers

Carefree is “a weekly newsletter from Black female voices around the world on life, love, adventure and everything in-between.” They’re always accepting new pitches from Black women writers. They want “personal essays with strong narratives and voice on life, love, adventure and everything in-between.” They’re currently trying something new and focusing on monthly themes. Following are their themes for the next few months:

- February: "How To Love"

- March: "Blooming Unconventionally"

- April: "Letting Go"

- May: "On Beauty"

Carefree is Looking for Stories from Black Womxn Writers

Carefree is “a weekly newsletter from Black female voices around the world on life, love, adventure and everything in-between.” They are looking for stories from Black womxn writers. They want “personal essays on life, love, adventure and everything in-between, especially on: identity, hair, travel, beauty, Black joy, hobbies you love, marijuana, & body image.” They pay $100 per essay (1,200 to 1,400 words).
